I have benefited significantly, as I have become more aware of the effect of my driving habits/actions can have on others. Learnt from other people?s mistakes along with my own, I have learnt the seriousness of traffic offences and learnt about good driving practices and alternative options; re-think my decisions.
It has shown me the consequences of speeding and unsafe driving and has opened up my eyes to how easily accidents can happen and that you are not the only person that suffers the consequences of stupid driving.
It really shows how your actions can have tragic results in ways that you never thought of. I was initially embarrassed to attend this course but at the completion, I feel lucky to have such an important intervention that has prompted me to reassess my behaviours.
All speakers, from first aid to legal, from police to the young lady in the wheelchair, provide different perspectives on the issue but come to the same point. The decisions we make today will affect us, our loved ones and many others in the community for the rest of our lives or worse.
I know understand that the potential consequences of my actions could have been worse for myself and every other road user. By understanding how important road rules are, how much my family really mean to me, to be a safer driver on the roads, and to not put anyone lives in dangers.
I?m so regretful for what I have done. I already learnt my lesson; I should be responsible for myself and other people when I?m driving. Drink driving may cause serious consequence; I should not drive after a drink; it will not happen again in my life.
Next time I will not drive after drinking because I understand how bad it can be.
